CHALLENGE
To change from a business model of “Legal Deposit” to one of “Knowledge Research”.
To assemble a 9 million items database, including books, music sheets, pictures, photos and a huge variety of items on Art and Culture. Most part of it distributed on various different media and locations, many of them with very difficult ways of access.
To devise a workaround for many restrict services with old and unused methods and procedures.
SOLUTION
Design of the concept “Library Without Frontiers” as a Digital Library. Making on-line all available services, works and master-pieces of the library.
Integration of all internal systems and services software and development of some new system to attend several communications channels and targets.
Implementation of a new web environment with CRM analysis, to reach all targets with a one-to-one focus.
Development and management of E-Commerce and Content Management Tools.
ACHIEVEMENT
Winner of the iBest Prize 2003.
Raised 10 times the on-line services demand.
Recognition of the website from various students and researchers as a complete tool to spread knowledge.
